About the Hotel
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park is an all-inclusive family beach hotel located in a natural ecosystem in Playa del Carmen. Surrounded by jungle, you can find spider monkeys and tropical birds everywhere. The youngest member of the family has a high priority, so it has a children's club with a variety of games and crafts, as well as activities for teenagers. The property has a water park with 29 slides ideal for all ages. Here, there are crystalline sinkholes and mangroves. You can experience the All-Nature Experience, which includes various daily ecological activities such as floating in a crystal clear river, swimming in a cenote, learning the techniques to survive in the jungle, as well as witnessing Mayan outdoor shows.
The all-inclusive plan allows you to choose from a large number of buffet and à la carte restaurants and bars. For everyone's fun, there are two other pools, one of them with an area for children. The hotel has 956 rooms and suites distributed in villas that range from the jungle to the beach. All are equipped with a private bathroom with shower, minibar, balcony or terrace, TV with cable channels and air conditioning. The Royal Elite rooms are located in environmentally friendly buildings and use energy-efficient air conditioning, water heated with solar panels, LED interior lights, a water recycling system and wooden furniture from certified forests.
The center of Playa del Carmen is 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) away, with a variety of shops and restaurants, the Playa del Carmen pier is 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) away, from where the ferry leaves for the island of Cozumel, and the Xcaret ecological park with fun for the whole family is 16 kilometers (10 miles) away. Cancun International Airport (CUN) is 52 kilometers (32 miles) away.
