Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada is an all-inclusive hotel located on an extensive beach in Puerto Plata. The property has four restaurants serving Japanese, Dominican, Brazilian and Mexican specialties, as well as five bars. Lovers of outdoor activities will enjoy a wide variety of land and water sports, a swimming pool and gym. For the little ones there is a children's club and a children's pool. It also has a spa, beauty salon and several shops, including a mini supermarket.

All 516 rooms have a balcony or terrace with views of the gardens or the sea. All are equipped with a flat-screen TV, minibar, telephone and safe. They also have a private bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, bathrobes and slippers. The hotel provides free access to the spa's wet areas (adults only).

This hotel is located on the Costa Dorada beach, 5 kilometers from the center of Puerto Plata where there are bars, restaurants, shopping centers and places of cultural interest for the whole family, such as the Plaza de la Independencia and the Cathedral of San Felipe. Puerto Plata International Airport (POP) is 16 kilometers away.

***Student Group Policy. Student groups are defined by the hotel as any guests between 16 and 23 years of age traveling together. Applications from student and youth groups will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require prior approval from the hotel before confirmation. The minimum check-in age is 18. At least one adult aged 25 or older is required per room for check-in. This adult will assume full responsibility for the behavior of the students. The accompanying adult must be the parent or legal guardian, or, if a third party, must present legal documentation duly signed by the parents or legal guardians. In the event of inappropriate behavior, disrespect towards hotel staff and/or other guests, or physical damage to the facilities, the Hotel Management reserves the right to expel the guest without refund or reimbursement for the remaining nights. In addition, guests will be responsible for covering any costs associated with physical damage to the facilities, staff, and/or guests. Access to the hotel's nightclub is provided to guests 18 years of age and older. The legal drinking age in Mexico, Jamaica, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic is 18. Alcoholic beverages are available to all guests 18 years of age and older.

***Conditions for Individual and Student Group Reservations: Individual and group reservations require a refundable deposit of $200.00 USD per room upon check-in to cover any charges, damages, unpaid expenses, losses, or fines incurred or for which guests are responsible during their stay. If damages exceed the $200.00 USD deposit per room, the total cost of the damages will be charged to the guest's room and payable upon departure. If no damages are incurred, the deposit will be refunded. Policy for Minors: All guests under 18 years of age will receive a wristband of an easily identifiable color. In case of damage, alteration, or misuse of the wristband, the minor's guardian will be charged a penalty of $450.00 USD or its equivalent in local currency at the current exchange rate. Hotel Management reserves the right to expel any guest who alters or violates Iberostar Hotels and Resorts policies without refund or reimbursement for the remaining nights, or to contact local authorities if deemed necessary.

***Spring Break Policy. Iberostar Hotels & Resorts does not accept any person who is part of a Spring Break group (whether individual or group) at any property or during any time of year. Spring Break vacations are defined as those granted to high school and/or college-aged individuals who make reservations together, whether as individual or group bookings. Groups without parents or chaperones over 25 years of age are not permitted. Iberostar Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to refuse check-in to any group or individual who may be considered part of a Spring Break group.

***Infants (0-2.99 years): Infants stay free and do not affect the maximum room occupancy; however, the minimum contractual occupancy rate for the room will always be charged.

***Cribs: Subject to availability. Prior written notification to the hotel's Reservations Department is required.

***Exclusive honeymoon benefits for newlyweds: bottle of sparkling wine and special Iberostar service; 10% discount on Spa services (advance reservation required; not combinable with other offers); Upgrade to the next room category (subject to availability); and daily turndown service. Requirement: guests must present a marriage certificate (valid within 6 months of the wedding date) at check-in.

***A group is considered to be a minimum of 10 rooms or 20 guests. All groups are subject to availability and require a specific contract.

***Upon arrival, private check-in with a welcome cocktail is available for groups arriving simultaneously (must be coordinated with the hotel more than 30 days in advance).

***Benefits for VIPs/Group Leaders: Special welcome service (determined by the hotel); and room upgrade to a higher category (subject to availability). Note: VIP or Group Leader reservations must be verified prior to arrival to receive these benefits.

***Benefits for the Group: Complimentary hospitality desk for group staff with internet access; 20% discount at the Spa: Applicable only to services (excluding spa products); and Golf: Preferential rates at the Bávaro Iberostar Resort golf courses.

*** Complimentary Passengers: 21st free passenger for every 20 paying adults per night (1 free passenger per 20 adults). Maximum of 4 complimentary passengers per group, always based on double occupancy.
