About the Hotel
Grand Velas Riviera Maya - All Inclusive is a hotel in the vicinity of Playa del Carmen, amidst an area of 32 hectares (79 acres) of jungle and mangroves. This all-inclusive hotel is 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) from Fifth Avenue and within a 24-kilometer (14.9 mi) radius of Xcaret and Puerto Morelos. Cancún International Airport (CUN) and the town of Akumal are 47 kilometers (29.2 mi) away, while the Archaeological Site of Tulum is 70 kilometers (43.5 mi) from the property.
All 539 large suites at the hotel are distributed in three separate areas: Zen, Ambassador, and Grand Class; two of them are designed for families and the other one is only for adults. All accommodations are fitted with in-room safe, private balcony, sitting area, and Nespresso® coffeemaker. Guest rooms are also equipped with private bathroom with rain shower, Molton Brown bath amenities, Jacuzzi, bathrobes, and sandals. A beach bag to be used during your stay is also available, as well as turndown service, and a welcome bottle of craft mescal, white wine, or red wine. Some suites include a private mini-pool on the terrace. Family suites have guaranteed connection of rooms and offer babies' and children's amenities upon special request.
The resort offers a culinary tour through its eight restaurants with specialties ranging from signature and Mexican cuisine to Italian and Asian specialties, and seven bars distributed throughout the property. There is an infinity pool, a children´s pool, a sun terrace with sun loungers, and a beach of more than 500 meters (1,640 ft) long. This hotel in the Riviera Maya houses a signature Spa spanning over 8,000 square meters (86,111 sq ft) decorated with water themes, in a path of seven stations and a treatment menu based on ancient healing techniques from Mexico and other parts of the world. Butler service, customized concierge assistance, children´s and teens´ clubs, an activities program, and 24-hour room service are also available. In addition, the hotel offers conference facilities to accommodate up to 3,000 guests, a business center, WiFi, and a car rental agency.
